Who is Dextera Design?
Dextera Design is Kevin Slodic. The short, but not too short, skinny, but not too skinny young professional who enjoys being creative and working hard. Dextera Design's main focus is web design and programming - using XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash, ASP (.NET), and PHP. When not doing web projects, print and video are other means of creativity - using InDesign for print and iMovie and After Effects for video.
Moving from third to first person, Dextera Design stems from my final semester at Kent State University. With a personal online portfolio project to finish, a creative name and a creative outlet were formed. The name Dextera (latin for the right hand) was chosen because of my fascination with the human hand. Although the visual center of the brain defines color, type-face, aesthetics, and layout, it is ultimately the hand that physically manipulates the environment.
